Nihon Cyber Defence is NCSC-certified (UK National Cyber Security Centre) and operates with a delivery model that looks structurally different from Japan’s legacy SIers. NCD brings international-standard incident response capability and practitioners with real-world experience, rather than credential holders placed in a managed service wrapper. The organisation is small and not yet at the scale to absorb significant market demand. Its existence and approach are a proof of concept that a different delivery model can operate in Japan, one that treats security capability building as an outcome, not a compliance checkbox.
